TEACHER STANDS ACCUSED.

A pupil’s teacher, Emmanuel Otoo has appeared before an Accra Circuit Court charged with defiling a 15-years old pupil.

He pleaded not guilty and has been remanded into prison custody by the court presided over by Mrs. Georgina Mensah Datsa.

The accused would make his next appearance on June 27 this year.

The case presented to the court by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Sarah Acquah is that the complainant, Francis Dade is a detective corporal residing at Tesano police barracks whilst the accused is a teacher to the victim of Firm Foundation Academy at Apenkwa.

She said on June 11 this year around 8:30 am the victim left to school for extra classes and returned home at exactly 4:30 pm.

According to ASP Sarah Acquah, the complainant revealed that the accused forcibly had sexual intercourse with her in his room at Abeka down south after detecting that the zip on the victim’s jeans short was torn.

A report was lodged with the police Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) where a 
medical form was issued for her to attend hospital.

She said during the investigation the accused admitted the offence and was arraigned before this honourable court.
