The Netball Association of Ghana (NAG) has postponed the regional netball competition expected to serve as a platform to build a national team.
Reverend E.D. Niikoi, president of NAG told the Times Sports, the event which was scheduled to come off July 10-16 has been rescheduled to August 14-17 in Accra.
Mr. Niikoi who doubles as the director of marketing and publicity of the Confederation of African Netball Association (CANA), disclosed this in an interview with the Times Sports yesterday in Accra.
He noted that the postponement of the competition was as a result of the upcoming National Unity Games from July 17-27.
He stated that the cancellation of the tournament will enable all the participants for the sporting disciplines within the various regions to prepare for the unity games.
“The national netball team is in camp preparing the unity games” he added.
