Two women, who allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill each other, were put before an Accra circuit court, last Monday.
They are Henritta Tsotsoo Kpobi, an accountant, and Rose Atswei, a trader.
The two, charged with assault and threat of death were admitted to bail in the sum of GH¢ 6,000 with a surety, by the court presided over by Ms. Georgina Mensah Datsa.
They are to reappear on July 4.
Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Sarah Acquah stated that the first accused, Henrietta was married to the second accused's son and they all live at Teshie, a suburb of Accra.
According to ASP Acquah, Henrietta's mother and her son-in-law have been litigated over a house and on April 18 this year, her husdand went to court and brought a summons to be served on his mother-in-law.
When Henrietta's mother was served the summons, she became offended, took a saucepan and made unbearable noise toward the second accused, Rose where her husband lives.
Then the second accused who was not on talking terms with Henrietta's mother became furious on seeing her entering the store room.
Ms. Acquah said when Henrietta could not trace the whereabouts of her husband, she rained insults on the second accused, her mother-in-law
The second accused retaliated by hitting her with a saucepan and threatened that 'If anything happens to my son, i will kill you and your family'.
Later when they were separated by sympathizers, both made reports to the police and after thorough investigations were charged with assault and threat to kill each other, accordingly.
